LenSx® is a computer-controlled, bladeless procedure that is revolutionizing the way cataract surgery is performed. LenSx uses a femtosecond laser to make the incision through which a clouded lens is removed. Femtosecond lasers have been used for over a decade in LASIK surgery and are known to have greatly increased the precision and outcome of vision correction procedures.

Dr. Daniel M. Sambursky was the first cataract surgeon in New York's Southern Tier and currently is the only doctor in Binghamton to offer this advanced technology. During your cataract surgery consultation, Dr. Sambursky would be happy to discuss the advantages offered by LenSx and help you determine if this technique is right for you.

If you live in or around Binghamton, Syracuse, Elmira, Corning or Ithaca, New York and would like to learn if LenSx cataract surgery is right for you, please contact Daniel M. Sambursky, M.D. or call 877.333.0700 today to schedule your initial consultation.

Optical Coherence Tomography

LenSx uses a sophisticated computer program to map out your cataract surgery with precise three-dimensional imaging called optical coherence tomography. This enables Dr. Sandusky to create an incision at a specific depth and length, increasing accuracy and guarding against postoperative complications such as poor incision healing. It also helps protect the capsule around the lens of your eye from accidental damage, further ensuring optimal cataract surgery results.

With the addition of LenSx, Dr. Sambursky is able to offer people in our area a safer, more effective, and ultimately more rewarding surgical experience. We welcome any questions you may have about LenSx as well as your general cataract surgery questions during your free initial consultation.

To schedule an appointment with our experienced Binghamton cataract surgeon, please contact us today. Dr. Sambursky is the first cataract surgeon to offer LenSx to men and women living in the areas of Syracuse, Binghamton, Elmira, and Ithaca, New York.
